Touring ‘The Cultured Land’ of Philippines

The Philippine land has not seen much variation with regards to its natural beauty and picturesque landscape, but the Philippine country like several other nations of the world is a hand-me-down of sorts. The fact is reinforced by virtue of the fact that the country has reeled under the invasion of several cultures and dynasties. The colonial ruling has rendered the principal cities of Manila, Intramuros, Krogel, Binodo and Bubriados to reflect a rare sense of the architectural beauty of the classical cities of London and Paris. The beauty of plaster of Paris ‘clemoonges’ and rich upholstery of period furniture in old households reflect the typical old world charm of the European cities.

The Philippine is shadowed on one side by the mainland of China, which is a culture that is as evolved a culture as might be. The Philippine land is inhabited by a good proportion of Chinese people. The Chinese are a race that has lent the land their artistic sense of literary perception and the finesse of craftsmanship. The culture also has a pronounced touch of the culture of the nations of Mexico, and Spain. The land hails under the influence of over 100 distinct ethnic groups who have their own set of varied rituals, festivals, crafts, attires and tongues.

In spite of the fact that the Philippine country is a conglomeration of a huge set of islands numbering close to 7000, the land area occupied by them on spatial grounds is barely sufficient to contain a small proportion of the landed property of such countries as Russia and Canada. In spite of this constraint in its disadvantage, the Filipino land has retained its vast and varied cultural differences and doctrines that have governed it for the last few centuries. The land celebrates some of its most colorful festivals in the summer months. There is one particular festival by the name of ‘Barrio Fiesta’, which is organized to honor saints and religious leaders of various villages and groups. Over and above everything is the crowning glory of the friendliness and warmth of the local people who admire tourists and go to al ends to please them.
